Auto Partitioning using unix time
I'd like to auto partition by hour and the field I'd like to use is an INT representing unix time.
I could hack this together in perl and create the partitions manually, but I am looking for a way to do it with SQL. Anyone have any pointers?
Is this too complicated? Should I use a mysql date time field instead?
