Error 'Unknown error 1507' on query. Query: 'ALTER TABLE x DROP PARTITION x'

I am having a problem on a newly setup slave database every day I get replication error Unknown error 1507' on query. Query: 'ALTER TABLE x DROP PARTITION x'.

They all relate to partitions and does not seem to exist. So far I have been skipping the error however I am not certain if this is the correct way as the error keeps coming back. I believe there is a stored procedure or something on the master that prunes the partitions this is likely why it occurs daily.

Having said that this is a slave db from a slave db. The middle slave that is slaving directly from the master does not have this behaviour. Any suggestions, recommendations would be appreciated.
