I think that I have the same problem, but I cannot identify how works MySql with fulltext searches with some characters. I give you an example. I have some records with the text... "Être très ...." and if I search "Être", the result returns nothing. I suposed that the full-text search wasn´t be able to identify a character like Ê, but there is another case. If I change this "Être" in the records for "Êtres" and I search it, the result returns this record that I have just changed.
A little bit strange, or? Can anybody help me why the full-text searches work in this way?
