So do you mean you update your MyISAM full-text searchable table in real-time every time an insert/update is made to your INNODB tables?

If so, this is an intersesting approach. I would be very interested to hear your test results. And mainly on performance. As I can imagine inserting a LONGTEXT field on your INNODB aswell as your MyISAM will change your transaction execution time significantly.

My aproach would be to use a robot which will scan my InnoDB table periodically and update the MyISAM when it finds new/updated rows. But if your system works well and fast the real-time indexing would be great.

Keep us posted on your tests if you could.

Regards,
Joost
