Hi,

We have a MySQL database, and are considering to add full-text searches.
We reviewed the documentation in the MySQL site, but still couldn't quite figure out the following questions. Would appreciate your advice.

1) Which languages are supported?
Our market is English, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese.
Search is not trivial - for example, Hebrew allows different spelling for the same words (vowel omission). Hebrew/Arabic prepositions may be stuck to nouns (so that "In the house" becomes a single word.

2) Is there any documentation about result ranking (order)?
For example, some search engines prioritize short data (because long data may just "blabber on" until it hits every word in the Oxford dictionary...).
This is just an example - we're just looking for some documentation on the ranking strategy.

Thanks.
