Changing stopword list does not work!

Hello,

i tried to change the stopword list. Instead of the "built in"-version, i want to use an external "german" version. But my changes in my.cnf (or SET ft_stopword_file in msql) were never worked.

With SET i got following error message:

mysql> set ft_stopword_file = /opt/lampp/etc/ger_stop.txt;
ERROR 1193 (HY000): Unknown system variable 'ft_stopword_file'
mysql>

It seems there is a barricade in MySQL to change variables.

I'm using MySQL version 5.0.15 from a XAMPP installation.

I hope you have an idea!?
