Hi:
I have 2 servers witch mysqld ( Ver 4.0.20-standard for pc-linux on i686 (Official MySQL RPM) ) that i need to restart all days.
Problem is that mysqld creates a lot of children, and no killed it. I see how the thread number increases, and finally, i need to restart this server.

First, i suppoused that is a problem of "to many users working witch mysqld", but i try mytop and i see that only are 3 users ( and all of them are my users, so query are simple, very simple ).

If i connect witch the server only 1 time an hour, mysqld is overload in about 3 dias.

Mysql starts witch /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir=/ --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --user=mysql --pid-file=/var/lib/mysql/box.pid --skip-locking --socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock

if you need it, y paste my.cnf.

any cuestion ? I really need help witch this.
