MySQL ODBC Connector installation failure with Service Pack 2

I'm trying to install the MySQL ODBC Connector exe. Installation ends prematurely with a network related error message stating an msi file could not be found. I recently installed Service Pack 2. Prior to the SP2 upgrade the ODBC Connector worked fine.Anyone experienced the same problem or someone knows how to fix this?
