upgrading from 5.0.27-0 to 5.0.41-0

I am running openSUSE 10.2 with all latest updates. Running perfectly. Want to upgrade from "MySQL-server-standard-5.0.27-0.sles9" to "MySQL-server-community-5.0.41-0.sles10.i586.rpm". I do not know how to proceed. The usual "rpm -Uvh" says a whole lot of the usual "conflicts with file from package" stuff. I made a backup of all db's from my workstation via the administrator GUI.

1) Has any one gone from the release that did not have "community" in the file name to the release that does?

2) Has any one upgraded from a "sles9" release to a "sles10" release?

Thanks so much,
Jason Sjobeck
