My MySQL5 is still pointing to my MySQL4 data folder

Hi,

I have 2 versions of MySQL running on Linux. SQL4 is using port 3306 and SQL5 is pointing to port 3307. It has been working ok for the past few months. But recently, the SQL5 is pointing to the data folder of SQL4. That means when I logged on to SQL5 and created a table, the table.frm would appear in SQL4's data folder. I've checked the my.cnf for both SQLs and they are pointing to their own respective data directories. I've re-started the server several times and started these SQLs but the error still persists. Please help. Thanks!
