MySQL errors preventing startup of service (MacOSX.2 release)
Okay, using MySQL 4.0.15 on a computer running the latest MacOSX Jaguar software, I'm attempting to set up and run a MySQL database on an intranet server. However, when I attempt to start up the service, it immediately errors out with the following:
040830 [timestamp] mysqld started
dyld: /Library/MySQL/libexec/mysqld Undefined symbols:
/Library/MySQL/libexev/mysqld undefined reference to _crypt expected to be defined in /usr/lib/libcrypto.0.9.dylib
040830 [timestamp] mysqld ended
Upon opening the file that it references, I see a bunch of jibberish--a guess of mine to most likely be hexadecimal displayed in text. Short of having to reinstall the operating to start completely over with this database, what can I do?
