Hi Julia,
The web server address/location is only relevant if you are trying to establish a connection via a browser. If you're using the command prompt then its the mysqld server that you are connecting to.
First question, and apologies if it's a bit obvious - but are you certain that the mysqld server is actually running on the host machine?
