Dear all
I'm also a complete newbie on MySQL and trying to go all through step by step.
Meanwhile, I could make MySQL running on my PC and I use from the beginning MySQLAdministrator.
The problem is similar: When I try to create a new schemata (in addition the existing 'test') I get an error message:
...error 1044; access denied for user ..'localhost.
I really would prefer to solve such things within any GUI rather than from a command line. Is there any possibility?
