Re: show the mysql database after install

Hi there,

I am a total beginner to MySQL, PHP and Apache and have a small installation query/question. Having installed MySQL and the other packages mentioned, the MySQL console displays "Not Found" for the MyODBC pane under the environment tab. Information is displayed for the ServerInfo, HostInfo and Open tables fields. Also, under the databases tab, the email address assigned to me by my ISP is displayed as the root and two databases - mysql and test are displayed.

Could you please tell me whether this is as should be and also, if this does sound unusual, how can I fix it.

I am running Windows 98 and the following versions of the relative software:

MySQL 3.23.53
Apache 2.0.48
PHP 4

Thanks for your help
