Re: Cannot Create Windows Service for MySQL. Error:0

Hello,

I should like to know where I can find a list of error numbers to progress with this problem.

The only error 0 I know is forgetting the Exit instruction before the error procedure, for instance in VB6, and the end user can absolutely nothing to that.

The installation should have taken a quarter of an hour, and I spent ten hours reading messages telling me that error 0 was very severe and you cannot use MySql with it.

As soon as I decided to ignore it, I could create a database.

Nevertheless I still have a problem with the password : I was invited to give a password for the "root" user, and the access is denied with that password. Nevertheless, I can open a session with no password at all as root, i.e. the user allowed to delete all data on the server.

So, this is far not sufficient to persuade me MySql is ready to store sensitive data, but largely enough to allow me to make tests on my own machine before deploying a demo to a server that is already configured.
