Hi
The solution you proposed didn't do the trick I'm afraid.
In the meantime however I've discovered that the CPU peaks of up to 100% happen simultaneously with the key buffer usage hitrate peaking to 100%, and this every time. When I monitor the key buffer usage hitrate and the CPU usage, they literally peak together.
Would increasing key_buffer_size and decreasing the others help?
