uninstall/install

I recently installed mysql5.0, Administrator, Query browser (Windows 2000). I created a schema and some tables. I uninstalled 5.0 rebooted and installed mysql4.0.??(cant remember exact numbers). When I opened Administator it said server version 4.0.?? and client version 5.0. it also had my schema and tables I created under 5.0. Is this right or do I need to start over?
