Thank you, Paul.

I appreciate your advice, and will keep it handy.

I'd like to tell you and the forum that I DID find a FIX for the problem.
From reading some other posts, it became apparent that some problems were resolved by a clean install of MySQL Server to a simpler home directory.
That's just what I tried. I first completely un-installed MySQL Server, then re-installed MySQL Server into "C:\MySQL"
The standard re-install WORKED!
Now, my system can re-boot and re-start MySQL Server just fine.

I hope this may help someone else with a similar problem.
