First install of DB on Fedora Core 2 don't work

Hi everyone,
I just downloaded the binary copy of MySQL 4.0.21 and I have installed this on Fedora Core 2, but when I try to start the following scripts

[root@server mysql]# scripts/mysql_install_db --user=mysql

I receive the following results:

Installing all prepared tables
041016 14:32:21 Warning: Asked for 196608 thread stack, but got 126976
041016 14:32:21 ./bin/mysqld: Shutdown Complete

To start mysqld at boot time you have to copy support-files/mysql.server
to the right place for your system

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SET A PASSWORD .....

The mysqld is not started and all of operation on DB fails.
I think the problem is the difference between the values of thread stack.
I have just follow all the necessary steps found in INSTALL-BINARY file.

Can you help me?!?

Best regards
Massimo
