[MySQL 4.1 Gamma] Restart problems

I installed this version today and i gotta say it's sweet.
I have one problem (for now) though. When I need to restart the mysql server (or service) it won't start anymore.
Say for example I made some changes that require a restart. I have the monitor running in my tray and choose to stop the service. Log message says it's stopped, so now I want to start it again and Log messages says "Can't start server".
I've already reinstalled mysql 4.1 for today, tried it again (the restart) and it gives me the same problem.
I'm using WinXP Pro with SP2, enviroment variable path is set correctly and I have no other mysql services running (old version for example).
Is this a bug or is it me? :)
