cant connect to mySQL server on'www' (10065)

I keep getting this error message when trying to connect to a mySQL server from a win 2003 SBS using mySQL ODBC 3.51 driver.
cant connect to mySQL server on'www' (10065)
I am able to ping the server im trying to connect to from SBS and I am able to connect to the mySQL server from workstations on the SBS domain.
can anyone help me with this?
