I have the same problem. I am doing complex merges across tables that have password fields. There is NO sensitive data in the queries.

I whole heartedly agree we should be able to override the histignore.

If we can't override it, can the default at least be changed to:

*IDENTIFIED*['"`]*:*PASS*["'`]*

If there is not a string literal, there is no sensitive data.
