Currently MySQL Installer doesn't support update or downgrade to any other version of the MySQL server, only in the same series (5.6.24 -> 5.6.27, or 5.7.8 -> 5.7.9), the same happen if you ant to try using the standalone msi for MySQL Server
you can install both servers side by side and do a data migration between one server to another
if you are using Workbench you can use the Data Migration Wizard
