Re: Problems With MySql Installer on OS X Mojave

I tried a fresh install after removing previous installations, and put a passsword into the installer dialog. MySQL refused to recognize the root user password.

An install on High Sierra worked. An install on Mojave did not. So I don’t think the problem was with the routine suggested.

The problem is:

1. The size of the install on Mojave is half the size of the install on High Sierra.
2. The installer does not appear to accept a root password on Mojave. It does on High Sierra.
3. The installer does not appear to accept the authorization method, which I think is auth_config_, or something similar, on Mojave. Php fails using MySQL on Mojave. I haven’t tested it under High Sierra.

I hope this clarifies things.
