Watching schema changes

Hi,
I'm trying to find a way to be notified of the schema changes - when
a user issue a
CREATE/ALTER/DROP TABLE/INDEX.

Trying to google, I found this -
https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/monitor-alter-table-performance-schema.html,
but it appears to be for ALTER TABLE.

Is something like this exist for other commands I'm interested in?
