Re: problems upgrading 5.7 -> 8.0.15

Hello,

stopping mysqld is done in packages itself. this is needed for every unattended upgrade and the standard way. stopping of mysql 5.7 is no problem else i would have hints in packagelog or in syslog. last line of mysqld 5.7 loggin is just typical "shutdown complete".

There is no change when stopping mysqld manually before package installation.
I think this errormessage is just misleading and appears very late in upgradeprocess.

I do this for about 15 years and never had this problems with other versions.

Thanks,
Hajo
