Community RPM: why “forking” service?

http://repo.mysql.com/yum/mysql-5.7-community/el/7/x86_64/mysql-community-server-5.7.25-1.el7.x86_64.rpm

^^ Why does the .service file that this RPM installs configure a “forking”-type service in systemd? Since MySQL is systemd-aware, shouldn’t it use “notify”?
