Upgrade old DB on Mac
I need to upgrade an old DB/installation on a Mac and I'm looking for help/advice on the best way to do it.
My current version is 5.5.17. From what I've read, I need to upgrade that version to the latest (5.5.62), and then upgrade to each new major version step by step (i.e., 5.6, then 5.7, then 8.0). Is that right or is there an easier way to get to the latest version?
On the downloads archive page, when I select 5.5.62, I don't see the option for the native OS X Installer/DMG. Is that still available somewhere? If not, do I just need to select the Linux - Generic version?
I would greatly appreciate any advice on this process!
