Thank you for your reply, Peter! I am still unable to get this mysql server started, if pointed at the correct datadir. It's throwing a bunch of errors. Do you know if there is a way to rebuild a database without a backup but all the .idb & .frm files are there? I tried posting the errors the --console was throwing but I the forum software is blocking them for some reason. Thanks again for your help!
