I guess you're here because those programs use MySQL and your programmer didn't leave you a maintenance instruction manual (next programmer you hire a 'puter person, insist on that).

Since you're not a 'puter nerd, the simplest solution for you is to hire a local MySQL programmer or DBA to suss out what's needed, then do it. Or hire a remote MySQL person and give her remote access to A and B for that job.

If you really want to do this yourself, some info about your MySQL installation on A will be needed before we can help you with porting it to B.

1. What Windows version is this?

2 In A, right-click on the taskbar, select Task Manager, look in the list of apps running for a program name that begins with "MySQL", eg "mysqld". If there is none, then probably your MySQL-dependent software uses what's called "embedded" MySQL.

3 Search drive C: for files whose names begin with "mysql", copy & paste the results here.

4 Search the Help" screens in the program running on A for any MySQL info it provides.
