Thank you Peter

The only advice from the Nextcloud documentation was to backup Nextcloud: the Nextcloud database and Nextcloud configuration. No specific mention of MySQL.

The mysql error log has no content:

System load: 0.0 Processes: 179
Usage of /: 64.0% of 28.08GB Users logged in: 0
pi@raspberrypi:~$ sudo cat /var/log/mysql/error.log
pi@raspberrypi:~$

But the official documentation is so terse as to need decoding for non-professional Linux admins.

If I were to remove/var/www/nextcloud would it enable me to remove —purge mysql-server?
