Hi Malcom, I know you posted this a long time ago, but I was wondering if you could complete your post on uninstalling mysql on mac os x. To answer your questions:
1. I've installed version mysql-5.1.33-osx10.5-x86
2. I am comfortable with the terminal
3. I can use sudo

Is it just a matter of deleting all those files you mentioned? Before I do that I wanted to make sure bc I think I've messed things up enough for one day.

thanks in advance for your help!

ps. if anyone else knows how to uninstall mysql (to reinstall it again) please let me know. Thanks! :)
