Please note that "the server is running" does not mean that MySQL is installed correctly! Because even the mysql command cannot connect to MySQL Server!
Can you confirm that you have this issue with both 8.4.1 and 9.0.0?...Do you need me to attach a screen capture of the actual installation of MySQL 8.4.1 and MySQL 9.0?
