to "uninstall", delete \library\receipts\mysql5****, both files, this will allow you to reinstall if you needed. this is from the readme file and couple people here mentioned earlier. to "uninstall" the mysql pref pane, right click if you have a mouse, or control+click choose remove.

the problem some users couldn't start mysql5.1.30 is probably they installed the _64 version instead the x86 version. I wasn't able to complete remove the _64 version even with sudo command though.
