If you are trying to connect MySQL via phpmyadmin try the following steps

Open MySQL my.ini file
Look for the comment line:# The default storage engine that will be used when create new tables when
default-storage-engine =innoDB.

Replace innoDB above with MyISAM.
Restart the server. If you have firewall it will ask you permission to allow changes. please ALLOW.

Go to phpmyadmin interface, this will allow you to enter into the database,

Do not forget that you have an open source where you can download WampServer ( with the following components: PHP,PHPmyadmin, MySQL and Apache server.

Always check MySQL log to diagnose error or list include it mail when you need help.
