Possible Solution: can't connect to MySql server on 'localhost' <10061>

I thought someone somewhere would have answered this - as i've spent the best part of my evening hoping to right a new a program.

Here's what I did to get to solve my problem at 23:40 uk time :-}

I located the file called "my.ini" in "C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1"

I renamed this to xxmy.ini - just incase I needed to get back to it

I then ran through the wizard again, this time though - there is a drop down menu which asks for the location of InnoDB files on first install I left this to the default "installation path". This time though I set this to "\MySQL InnoDB Datafiles\" then finished the wizard...including the horrible pause at the end before it tells you its started..yipeee

Hope this helps.

Regards Mike
