Re: can't connect to MySql server on 'localhost' <10061>

I have a similar problem here.

I'm installing MySQL Server 5.45 on Windows XP SP3.
At the final step of the instance configuration, just as it should start the MySQL service it freezes. I've had no other option but to finalize the task.

Now, when I go to Services and try to start the service I get an 1067 error and it says that the program finalized in an unexpected way.

Any idea why this could happen or can I try to fix it?
