Well, remove your mysql instalation.
Instal again.
When asked to configure the mysql after instalation (marked with a ticket) continue.
Put tipical instalation.
When asked for a root password just put desired pass u want for security maters.
then all its finished, and it should say ur my.ini file has been created succesfully.

Now go to the program you are using to conect to mysql and replace the connection info (you just need to ad your password) and save changes.
