mysqlhotcopy to backup ARCHIVE tables?
Hi everybody
It's never stated directly, but my conclusion from what I read in the DOCs is, that it's safe to backup ARCHIVE tables (in contrast to InnoDB) with mysqlhotcopy or other scripts that just copy the underlying files from within the schema directory (as long as the tables are LOCKED and FLUSHED). Am I right? Or does anybody see possible problems?
Thanks,
Beat
