Hi!
You can copy a hot Archive table and it will recover itself just fine. I recently fixed the 5.0 tree so that auto recovery now works (there was a bug in it). You won't get whatever rows are currently in the compression buffer, but all data on disk at that moment will be just fine. If not, there is a bug :)
