The sever currently runs at about 200-300 queries per second....
Timings for the select is usually under 0.01 sec....that is with 100-3000 records
when it gets more 20000 the select times are between 0.2 and 5 seconds.... depending on weither there are other inserts/select/updates happening....
What I have had to do is keep the table at under 5000 records, which is not always possible, especially when I am processing the sms's and inserting replies into the table at a much higher rate....
The database is running on a quad xeon 2.4 with 4g ram....
