Grammer Rule for Parenthesis in Select Statement
Hi All,
I have some doubt about mysql queries and what is the importance of using it. I have some mysql queries and trying to understand the difference as well. I am trying to write grammer rule in yacc parser to support these kind of queries with parenthesis
1. (select * from tablename); // Mysql Support
2. (select * from tablename) order by limit; // Mysql Support
3. (select * from tablename order by limit); // Mysql Support
4. ((select * from tablename) order by limit); // Mysql Does not support
My question is :
what is difference between all these four cases and why mysql does not support 4th case the last one. if it is supporting different scenarios of parenthesis.
