Building libmysql client for iOS

Hello All,
I am trying to compile the MySQL client libraries for the iOS platform, but I am not sure how to go about this.
I can compile them just fine on my MacOS ~ no errors.
But I am not sure how to go about compiling them for the iOS platform (iPad, iPhone, etc...)
Anyone have any suggestions?
I am using the latest version of xcode and my os = Sierra 10.12.4
