compiling mysql for gentoo using FSU Pthreads
hi all,
i have posted this on 'Install' as well, so apologies for anyone who has seen this twice...
i am attempting to compile mysql for gentoo running openMosix; however as all the documentation suggests, mysql uses kernel threads and not user-space threads... this is problematic as openMosix requires that threads are in user space and not kernel space...
however there is a library which provides posix threads in user space (FSU Pthreads)...
how/where do i tell the mysql that i want to use this new thread lib rather than the standard linux thread lib?
i have never compile mysql before so please consider me a complete noob...
cheers and thanks for any help that can be provided...
