I know this a repost from the newbies forum, but I hadn't noticed this fourm and it's much more pertinent to post this here I think, so here it goes:
I've installed mysql using binaries and yum.
I'm trying to compile our server when using mysql_config --cflags says I should use the -g option. I do NOT want to use it our server application is much more slow if it's compiled with debug options.
I've tried to get infos on why it returns this and it's probably because I don't know the subject too well to know what keywords to look for but I really can't find anything on why it returns which flags and how to configure it.
Best Regards
Roch Denis
