It would be sensible to have a thin, lean, efficient DB abstraction layer that supports MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite implementations. Oracle and SQL Server would undoubtedly follow. However, it would be obvious that the abstraction layer is the finished item.

But even though the project only requires one database, I don't think it would work well with Boost.
