Documentation on the Development Process of MySQL

Hi,

I am a student, and studying my Masters in Computer Science.

I am currently working on the development process of Open Software, and MySQL being one of the prime products of this genre, I have made it as an important case study, to observe a certain model of the entire development process.

I know this is a different kind of requirement, different from the usual documentation that people in this forum ask for, but any help would be welcome.

If anyone could help with this, give me guidance as to what websites or documentations I can refer to, I would be really thankful.
