There is an "Example databases" section here:

Also, if you happen to use the MySQL Installer (5.5 only today, and Windows) then it can install these sample databases:
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/installer/
Whatever the case, a lot of examples within the MySQL Manual use either the 'world' or 'sakila' database that is listed/available above.
