Guys, that is a good point. There were some of these links added long ago by scripts that make sense in faraway topics to point back to the datatype section, but not within the section itself. We had removed them already in some cases, e.g. for the BLOB datatypes, and for InnoDB configuration options in more recent MySQL versions. I've gone through and done that also for numeric, string, and date/time topics. (Leaving those links that do actually point to from one datatype to another.)
