Actual Usability of FOUND_ROWS()
The documentation for the FOUND_ROWS() function seems to be directed specifically at a unique-case application, when users need to get a number of rows matched without a LIMIT hindering a full count.
Can the documentation be modified to explain the actual general usability of the function?
I am more interested in having a definitive explanation of whether this can be used in conjunction with other queries, like UPDATE queries, and whether the expected count-of-matched rows (as opposed to changed-rows) is the certain result of this function.
